Salary: £40,000 - £45,000.
To train and assess Safety Critical and/or OHL, P-Way & S&T.
Deliver and assess a comprehensive range of training programmes in accordance with legislative requirements, technical and safety instructions and Rail Group and Network Rail Standards.
Deliver training programmes to meet the needs of the business and those of external customers, both at the Training Centre and at customer locations.
Conduct technical and operational assessments as defined by the relevant competency management system and in meeting with NWR, Sentinel and NSAR requirements.
Evaluate feedback from learners and customers to review and develop course content where appropriate.
Be responsible for maintaining your own competence and undertake a programme of continuous professional development to ensure your knowledge, understanding and experience is current to support training and assessment delivery.
Apply knowledge and understanding of equality and diversity and its impact on learners in meeting identified training and learning objectives.
Adhere to Redstone safety management systems, using training to promote best practice safety culture and behaviours.
Fully participate and engage in our behavioural safety agenda to ensure we work safely.
Assessor Qualifications (D32 / 33 or A1 / A2 or TAQA 301 / 302).
Trainer and assessor qualifications (NVQ Level 4 Learning and Development or equivalent, or working towards).
Certified in various items of small specialised rail plant.
Hold Sentinel certification up to ES level.
IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH National General Certificate (Preferred).
NSAR Accredited Track Safety Trainer Assessor with a minimum of 1 years’ Training & Assessing experience. A minimum of 2 years’ P-Way experience (Preferred).
Good knowledge of IT systems, primarily Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experienced in delivering specialised rail plant courses such as rail, drill, impact wrench, disc-cutter, stressing equipment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Strong organisational and planning skills.
Good understanding of equality and diversity and its impact on learners.
